Sculptra®
Sculptra® is a cosmetic injectable that qualifies as a dermal filler, but it’s different from the JUVÉDERM® and Restylane® collection fillers because instead of using hyaluronic acid particles in its formula, it uses an active ingredient called poly-L-lactic acid to stimulate natural collagen production, making it a biostimulator.
Injections into the treatment area deliver some noticeable results and promote gradual results by stimulating natural collagen production. The body responds to the treatment by producing more collagen to naturally fill hollow areas and enhance the appearance. Sculptra® results appear gradually in the weeks following treatment and, depending on your treatment area, may last as long as two years post-treatment.
