Microneedling
Microneedling is a treatment also referred to as collagen induction therapy. At our Ethos MedSpa locations, we use the Candela Exceed™ device to perform our microneedling treatments. This device uses the latest technology to perform customizable treatments and is known for its precision, accuracy, and customizability.
We can adjust the needle depths from 0.2mm-1.5mm to target different areas of the skin. The device uses sterile, single-use needles to perform safe and effective treatments. In less than an hour of treatment, you’ll be on your way to healthier, younger-looking skin.
What It Treats
The Candela Exceed™ device is an effective option for patients who want to smooth lines and wrinkles and treat facial acne scars. It increases skin circulation, improves the cellular turnover rate, and promotes increased collagen and elastin production, which not only helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles but increases skin firmness and elasticity.
It can help create a more even skin texture and tone and deliver a healthy and youthful through a completely natural treatment process. We can use the device to treat the face, neck, chest, or a combination of all three.
How It Works
We will apply a topical numbing solution to your skin to begin the treatment. Then, we will use the device to target your area of concern and adjust the device as needed to address both minor and major skin concerns with the right needle depth. The device can target more sensitive areas with shorter needles and more tolerant, thicker areas with deeper needles.
As the needles penetrate the skin, they create microchannels, also known as micro-wounds, that the body responds to with a healing reaction that includes increased collagen and elastin production. Increased collagen in the area rejuvenates the skin, makes lines and wrinkles less noticeable and can fill in acne scars to improve overall skin texture. Treatments typically take 60 minutes, depending on the area being treated.
Customizing Your Treatment Plan
You can expect to see some results after one treatment, but those with more advanced skin concerns may need several treatments with several weeks between each for the best results.
When we evaluate your skin during an in-person, complimentary consultation, we can make treatment recommendations so that you know how many sessions you should schedule to achieve ideal results. You may see some initial results in the days following your treatment, but the best results appear within the first 12 weeks of completing your treatment plan.
Treatment Enhancement Options
Microneedling can address some of the most common skin concerns in a way that other treatments and products cannot, but its benefits don’t end there. We can improve, enhance, and extend the treatment results with different enhancement options.
We can also add one of our anti-aging serums to the treatment to take advantage of your skin’s increased absorption rate and treat problematic skin conditions.
Serums
Treatments with the Candela Exceed™ device significantly increase your skin’s absorption rate, so whatever you apply topically during and after the treatment is better received and used by the skin. When you choose this treatment, you’ll have the option of adding one of our anti-aging serums to the process and can choose from our hyaluronic acid serum or our CBD serum.
HA Serum
Our HA serum is anti-aging by nature and hydrates and nourishes the skin, which helps smooth lines and wrinkles and improves skin elasticity. It contains moisturizing agents that plump the skin for immediate results while also delivering long-lasting benefits.
CBD Serum
